Student Orientation & Induction Prorgam-2022 (Day-3, Session 2)

Prof. Aadesh Solanke (Training & Placement Officer) & Dr. Vinay Thute  (T&P Coordinator) delivered a session on “T&P activities at SSGMCE, Shegaon”.

Dr. Vinay Thute started the session with a small prayer to create a positive environment in the auditorium. He first enquired about the queries the students had and then proceeded to answer them. Majority of the students asked about Job placements, Internships, the skills & attitude required to get placed and the road map to placement.

While answering these queries, he explained the following points:

  1. Show initiative
  2. Improve your communication skills
  3. Have a positive, learning and submissive attitude

He then said that after the pandemic the hiring opportunities for the students are more as the online culture is giving them many opportunities to explore. He said that nowadays education is skill-based as a student from any branch can enter any sector based on his/her skills. He informed that the market needs an automation skillset. He advised students to develop a mindset and equip the most valued resources. He asked the students to research about companies, gain experience and explore new opportunities.

Prof. Aadesh Solanke continued the session and listed out the requirements of companies. He mentioned the resources offered by the Training & Placement Cell. T & P Cell provides the following:

He then elaborated the above points and concluded his session with a fun mind twisting activity to make the students realize how presence of mind plays an important role during placement.
