Speaker: Prof. Shashank Kendhe
The session commenced with the warm welcome of the guest speaker, Prof. Shashank Kendhe, Proprietor of Rishit Vastu Solution & Consultancy Services, by Prof. V. K. Bhangdiya. The gesture was accompanied by honouring him with a shawl and a memento as tokens of respect setting a gracious tone for the event. The proceedings began with a respectful mention for Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj.
In his introduction, he walked the audience through his career journey and trajectory. He shared his personal path and highlighted his aspiration to become an entrepreneur, a wish that was eventually fulfilled after his engineering. He also elaborated on how he achieved a chartered degree in engineering, underlining his achievements.
The establishment of the first-ever frozen foods and vegetable plant in Vidarbha was a significant milestone in his entrepreneurial journey. He provided insights into the process of developing startup ideas, recognizing opportunities, and creating products and services. Drawing inspiration from existing businesses, he shed light on his strategies for launching a new business from scratch.
The session delved into the discussions on relevant organizations such as the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), BVG Groups, and Amul. These examples were used to underscore the practical aspects of startup operations and collaborations.
He addressed the question of whether engineers make good entrepreneurs. He affirmed that engineers possess a wealth of skills, including effective problem-solving abilities and versatile skill sets. He emphasized that engineers play a vital role as innovators, shaping the future with their creations. He introduced the concept of becoming a T-shaped developer, suggesting that engineers can broaden their skill spectrum while deepening expertise in a particular area.
As the session concluded, the audience was left with a profound sense of purpose and a renewed outlook on their potential as future entrepreneurs. His journey illuminated the path, guiding them towards recognizing opportunities, honing skills, and embracing the spirit of innovation.
