Student Orientation and Induction Program (Day 10 – Session 1)

Topic – Organizational Values

Speaker: Dr. Kalindi Bhat

 

The session began with an introduction of our esteemed guest, Dr. Kalindi Bhat was welcomed by Prof. H. S. Patil, presenting her with memento and shawl as tokens of respect. The session was centered around an activity-based approach, fostering collaborative learning.

The students were divided into groups corresponding to their respective branches, and each group was assigned a core value to explore and understand. The topics spanned a spectrum of disciplines.

The Mechanical Engineering group explored the theme of accountability through a thought-provoking play that underscored the vital importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions.

The Electrical Engineering students employed a multimedia presentation to explain the concept of personal excellence. They dissected the various dimensions of personal excellence and its manifold benefits, delivering a comprehensive perspective.

Turning to the field of Computer Science and Engineering, students delved into the realms of creativity and innovation. They efficiently illustrated how innovation simplifies lives and probed the essence of creativity, shedding light on its multiple advantages.

The Information Technology representatives smartly explored innovation, emphasizing its association with inspiration and the honing of creativity through practice. This was supplemented by a compelling enactment.

The MBA participants tackled the theme of holistic development from a management standpoint. Their presentation advocated for all-encompassing growth by considering spiritual, mental, social, emotional, and physical dimensions. The initiatives taken by the college to foster holistic development were highlighted.

The Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering group expounded on trustworthiness, emphasizing the necessity of self-trust before extending it to others. This theme was effectively conveyed through a well-executed enactment.

With the individual presentations concluded, Dr. Kalindi Bhat, brimming with satisfaction, took the stage to announce the victor. The Mechanical Engineering department emerged as the winner, their impactful play highlighting the concept of accountability.
