SSGMCE, Shegaon organizes a talk by Women Rights Activist Nargis Taraki (iWoman Global Awardee 2020)

Shegaon: Nargis Taraki, born and brought up in a deprived community in Afghanistan, struggled to raise herself as a human with equal rights and a vision for a bright future.

Hardship, struggles and challenges in her life offered her strong intentions for positive change towards equal rights and gender equality. She has been vocal about women’s education, health and empowerment. In spite of many ups and downs, pain, suffering and loss of dear ones in life, she did not lose the hope. She overcame everything that was meant to destroy her and established herself as the prominent force.
