Day 4 Student Orientation and Induction Program – Session II (18th September 2024)
Topic: “Let’s Flourish the Youth”
The session began with second-year student Ms. Sharvari Deshmukh introducing Dr. Pradip Awachar. Following the introduction, Prof. R. M. Kharate was invited to felicitate the guest speaker.
Dr. Awachar started the session by engaging the students in a group chant, encouraging them to sing along and complete the lines after him. He invited a student to come on stage and sing the song with him, making the session interactive from the very beginning.
He emphasized the importance of seeking guidance and taking blessings from the right people, stating that those who follow this practice have already set themselves on the path to success.
Dr. Awachar shared several insights about flourishing in youth and embracing its potential. Throughout the session, he paused to invite students to ask questions, ensuring that he addressed their queries clearly and encouragingly. The session was marked by a high level of interaction.
Some key activities were conducted during the session:
- Posture and Walk Demonstration:
Dr. Awachar asked a few girls to come on stage and walk in a circle. He then instructed them to walk in various situations, demonstrating the postures and body language suited for different circumstances.
- Balloon Relay Activity:
Students formed a queue and were asked to walk while holding balloons between their foreheads and the backs of their heads. This activity aimed to teach teamwork, coordination, leadership, and patience.
- Pass the Water Game:
Twenty boys were invited on stage to play “Pass the Water.” Seated in a line, they had to pass water using mugs without looking backward. This activity emphasized trustworthiness and coordination among the students.
After these engaging activities, Dr. Awachar shared motivational and inspirational thoughts to wrap up the session, leaving the students with valuable life lessons.
The session concluded with Ms. Sharvari Deshmukh delivering a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speaker and the attendees for their participation.
