The session began with an introduction of Prof. A. V. Patil by second-year student Miss Roshani Kukade, followed by his welcome by Mr. Kunal Damodar. Prof. Patil commenced by sharing his email address, encouraging students to reach out to him for any assistance. He emphasized the importance of drafting proper emails and explained the administrative structure of the college, noting that it is a private, unaided, and self-financed institution.
Key points covered by Prof. Patil included details about the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), the State CET-Cell, and the Admission Regulatory Authority. He explained the fee structure of the college, including tuition, development fees, and caution money, which vary depending on the category. Prof. Patil also guided students through the Fee Regulatory Authority (FRA) website, university code, DTE code, AICTE permanent ID, and AISHE code.
The session also provided an overview of scholarships available for various categories such as OBC, EBC, OPEN, VJNT, SBC, SC, and ST students. Specific scholarships like Maha-DBT for CAP-admitted students, Pragati, Saksham, and Swanath schemes were highlighted, along with additional schemes for hostel accommodations. TFWS students were reminded not to pay any tuition fees.
Prof. Patil stressed the importance of having personal bank accounts linked with Aadhaar and updated in DigiLocker for smooth processing of scholarship applications. He advised students to securely store their original documents, hall tickets, and achievement certificates in DigiLocker for future use. The process of fee payment through the SB Collect portal was explained in detail, with a recommendation to use online payment methods.
