Day 3 | Session II | Student Orientation & Induction Programme 2026–27
As part of the Student Orientation & Induction Programme 2026–27, SSGMCE conducted an insightful session on “Anti-Drug Awareness” for the first-year B.Tech. and M.B.A. students, led by Mr. Kiran Aghao, Maharashtra Police.
The session highlighted the serious consequences of substance abuse and harmful addictions, particularly among young individuals. Through impactful videos depicting situations involving academic failure, peer influence, cigarette use, and the gradual impact of addiction on students’ lives, the session encouraged students to understand how seemingly small choices can lead to serious consequences.
Real-life cases involving crime, addiction, peer pressure, and their impact on individuals and society were also discussed, helping students recognize the importance of making responsible choices and staying away from harmful influences.
The session emphasized the importance of self-discipline, awareness, positive friendships, responsible decision-making, and seeking the right support when facing challenges.
A powerful reminder that the right choices today can shape a healthier and brighter tomorrow.
