SSGMCE, Shegaon, organizes Blood Donation Camp

Shegaon: Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering (SSGMCE), Shegaon, demonstrated its commitment to the community by hosting a highly successful Blood Donation Camp on October 13, 2023. The event attracted a large number of student and staff participants, making it a significant contribution to the promotion of public health in the region.

The blood donation camp was organized by National Service Scheme (N.S.S.) Unit of SSGMCE in collaboration with the Government Medical College, Akola, Government Hospital, Khamgaon and Saibai Mote Government Hospital, Shegaon. Total 236 students and staff donated the blood. The event aimed to address the increasing demand for blood and blood products while raising awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.

The event began at 9:00 am and lasted until 4:00 pm, during which students, faculty members and staff, came together to donate blood. The camp adhered to strict safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of donors.

The camp received significant support from Blood Bank staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Donors were provided with refreshments and certificates of appreciation to acknowledge their valuable contribution.

The Blood Donation Camp organized by SSGMCE serves as a testament to the power of collective action in addressing critical healthcare needs and fostering a sense of community responsibility. The college plans to continue organizing such events in the future to ensure a steady supply of blood for those in need.
