SSGMCE Shegaon Girls Win Chess Tournament at SGBAU
In a moment of pride and achievement, the girls’ chess team from Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering (SSGMCE), Shegaon, clinched victory at the Inter-Collegiate Tournament (ICT) held at Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU). The talented team displayed exceptional skill, strategy, and determination to emerge as champions in the Women’s Chess category.
The victorious team includes: Gayatri Deshmukh (4R), Neha Khillari (MBA), Samruddhi Deshmukh (2R), Sakshi Bhojane (3U), Neha Bhut (3U), Shubhrata Mishra (2U). Under the guidance of their mentors and with unwavering team spirit, these talented young women overcame tough competition from several participating colleges across the university. Their strategic gameplay and cohesive teamwork led them to outshine opponents and secure the coveted championship title. The championship victory has set a new benchmark for SSGMCE’s sports teams and inspired other students to excel in extracurricular activities.
