Day 10 | Session I | Orientation & Induction Programme 2025–26 (B.E./M.B.A First Year)

Topic: Life and Career Guiding Session

Mr. Mahankal shared his journey from a financially weak background to securing a career at TCS, crediting his breakthrough to the TCS CodeVita contest. He emphasized that career growth is a gradual process built on learning, patience, and adaptability. Highlighting the mantra “Learn – Mentor – Implement,” he encouraged students to gain knowledge, share it, and apply it practically. He spoke about the importance of flexibility, continuous skill upgradation, and values such as integrity, dedication, and social responsibility. Using his personal achievement of purchasing his dream car as an example, he underlined how effective communication can drive success.

Mr. Mahankal also guided students through key industry trends, including the Business 4.0 framework, the relevance of programming languages like Java, the rise of cloud computing, and emerging AI-driven opportunities. He explained TCS recruitment processes, entry points, and the significance of contests like CodeVita and HackQuest. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A where students sought advice on career planning, technology domains, and interview strategies.

Address by Mr. Chetan Khunkar

Mr. Khunkar complemented the motivational talk by sharing institutional insights. He highlighted that the college has been recognized as a top-priority institution by TCS in Maharashtra, reflecting its strong academic environment. He also introduced TCS’s Faculty Development Program (FDP), explaining how it helps upskill faculty members with the latest industry practices, thereby bridging the gap between academia and the corporate world to better prepare students for future challenges.

The session left students motivated and informed about the vast opportunities available in TCS and the IT sector at large.
