Convocation Ceremony held at Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering
Shegaon: As per the guidelines of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, the Convocation ceremony was organized for the students of the academic session 2020-21 on 19th August 2022 at Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj Engineering College (run by Shri Gajanan Shikshan Sanstha). For this program, Mr. Sriram Narayanan, Chairman, CII Maharashtra State Council & Managing Director, Endress Hauser (India) Automation Instrumentation Pvt Ltd. was the chief guest for the function. Other dignitaries present on the dais include Mr. Sandeep Tulapurkar, Mr. Charudatt Mushrif and Mr. Milind Shrikhande of Endress Hauser Ltd., Shri. Sharadaji Shinde (Secretary, Shri Gajanan Shikshan Sanstha), Managing Director of college Shri. Shrikantdada Patil and Principal Dr. S. B. Somani.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp followed by the felicitation of the guests. In his opening remarks, the principal of the college, Dr. S. B. Somani congratulated the gold medal winner as well as students who were the part of merit list and said that the college is emphasizing skills-based education continuously. On this occasion, the chief guest Mr. Sriram Narayanan interacted with the students. He said in his speech that we should change according to the changing times and do research by recognizing the needs of society. The winner of five gold medals, Mithilesh Joshi, of Electrical Engineering and the merit list students were honoured with insignia. The degree was conferred by the dignitaries. The guests also inaugurated the newly established labs at the Mechanical Engineering department. The newly established labs include Dr. Georg H. Endress Laboratory sponsored under CSR by Endress Hauser (India) Automation Instrumentation Pvt. Ltd. Aurangabad and I. C. Engine Lab sponsored under AICTE MODROB Scheme. Registrar, all the deans, heads of the departments, and faculty members were present for the convocation ceremony. Prof. Sachin Bhagat and Prof. Harshali Patil anchored the program.
