Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering (SSGMCE), Shegaon, established in 1983 by the Shri Gajanan Shikshan Sanstha, has earned a distinguished reputation in the field of engineering education. Affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University and duly recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, the college is also approved by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State. Over the years, SSGMCE has consistently upheld its commitment to academic excellence and innovation, solidifying its position as a leading institution in engineering education.
In 1983, the Government of Maharashtra entrusted the Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan with the responsibility of establishing an engineering college. This led to the founding of Shri Sant Gajanan Maharaj College of Engineering, Shegaon, which officially opened on August 13, 1983, operating initially from rented premises.
